Your Opportunity
As a Project Developer, you will lead the development of utility‑scale wind and solar projects from origination through to commercial operation. Reporting to the VP of Development, you will manage project schedules, budgets, stakeholder engagement, permitting activities, and land acquisition efforts while coordinating cross‑functional subject matter experts throughout the development lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of high‑impact projects and play a key role in expanding a growing renewable energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead renewable energy projects through all stages of development, from prospecting through construction readiness and operation
- Secure land rights and manage relationships with landowners, utilities, regulatory agencies, and local stakeholders
- Coordinate internal and external subject matter experts across legal, engineering, permitting, environmental, and energy assessment disciplines
- Oversee permitting activities and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements
- Support interconnection activities, commercial negotiations, and off‑take opportunities
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and development plans
- Prepare project updates, pipeline reports, and presentations for senior leadership and key stakeholders
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development
- Proven experience developing utility‑scale wind and/or solar projects
- Strong understanding of permitting processes, land acquisition, and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional teams and coordinate subject matter experts
- Excellent project management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management experience with both internal and external partners
