Climate17 is working with the Hawaiian arm of an international microgrid and DC technology company. We are seeking an electrical engineer with strong DC and renewables experience who would be interested in a part-time contract appointment (circa 10 hours a week) or a full-time permanent role.
Responsibilities
- Act as the go-to electrical design authority overseeing drawing plans, shaping a DC microgrid architecture, stamping designs and optimizing building-level DC power and efficiency.
- Work with cutting-edge systems for microgrids and smart buildings.
Engagement details
This can be a flexible engagement of around 10 hours per week, initially over a 6 month period, earning from $70–100 per hour range. It’s ideal for a specialist DC engineer with microgrid, renewable energy, and/or building power experience who wants to help bring an innovative electrical system concept to life in Hawaii.
Qualifications / Remote work
Applicants with PE certification can work remotely from the mainland US, those without PE must be based on Oahu.
