Our client has grown to be one of the largest and most respected property consultancies and surveying advisory firms in the UK with a network of offices across England and Wales, employing more than 900 partners and employees. As a major property practice, they have a market leading team comprising of surveyors, valuers, environmental specialists, project managers and town planners. Providing sound independent advice on all aspects of an infrastructure project, they enable their clients to take full advantage of the opportunities that the land and property market presents.
As part of their long-term growth plans, our client is seeking an experienced and driven Operational Lead to join their Asset Management team. This is a senior leadership role with national responsibility, focused on delivering exceptional operational performance across large, diverse property portfolios while supporting the growth of new and existing client relationships.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of asset management delivery, leading a high-performing national team of around 80 Asset Managers, technical leads and support staff. Clients include major infrastructure organisations such as HS2, National Highways and East West Rail, and the company pride themselves on delivering an outstanding, client-focused service.
The successful candidate will have an asset management strategic background and ideally residential experience. While the role can be based from the Birmingham office, there is opportunity to be based at other UK office locations due to the national remit. Regular travel to sites across the UK will be required.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the Head of Asset Management and Head of Operations to raise and maintain technical standards across asset management delivery
- Be accountable for technical standards, compliance and legislative requirements
- Drive performance against SLAs and KPIs, with overall accountability for quality and delivery
- Partner with Client teams to ensure effective delivery and budgetary control
- Champion and implement innovation across service delivery
- Lead and support new business development opportunities
- Assist with new contract mobilisations
- Produce resource plans, scopes and cost estimates for commercial tenders
- Provide sound, strategic advice to a wide range of public and private sector property clients
- Hold accountability for the financial performance and profitability of asset management contracts
- MRICS qualified with significant experience in property and asset management
- Proven track record of managing large, multi-site portfolios
- Strong experience in client relationship management at a senior level
- A natural leader with the ability to drive delivery, performance and growth
- Commercially astute, with experience identifying and developing new opportunities
- Excellent communicator, confident working across all levels of an organisation
- Ambitious, knowledgeable and forward-thinking, with a passion for shaping best practice
- Willingness to travel nationally with a full, clean UK driving licence.
