Climate17 is proud to partner with a specialist renewable energy developer, supporting utility‑scale solar, wind, and BESS projects across markets including CAISO, MISO, PJM, and SPP. Our client is seeking a talented finance professional to join their growing team as an Investor Associate IPP – Renewable Energy, playing a key role in supporting live transactions and building relationships with investors to accelerate project success.
Location: Remote
Contract: This is full-time 1099 indefinite contract
Your Opportunity
This role offers the chance to work on live deals in renewable energy, supporting sell‑side M&A, valuations, strategic financial analysis, and investor engagement. You will collaborate with finance, legal, and external advisors while also helping to prepare teasers, canvass investors, and contribute to relationship management – providing insights and execution support that directly contribute to the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed budgets for project financing and M&A
- Conduct valuation and sensitivity analyses to inform decision‑making
- Prepare teasers, pitch decks, and investor materials to support capital raising
- Contribute to canvassing efforts and outreach to prospective investors
- Support due diligence, documentation review, and coordination with external advisors
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on investor‑facing initiatives
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- 1–4 years of experience in renewable energy project finance, tax equity investing, or infrastructure finance
- Prior IPP experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience supporting live transactions and deal execution
- Strong financial modeling skills with knowledge of project finance structures
- Exposure to investor relations, fundraising, or capital markets activities preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environment
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
