Climate17 is supporting a well-backed renewable energy business with the appointment of a Technical Director to join its senior leadership team. This is a strategic leadership role offering responsibility across the full lifecycle of utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects, from development and acquisitions through to construction, operations, optimisation, and asset sales.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across a growing portfolio of renewable energy assets, supporting investment decisions, project delivery, technical due diligence, and long-term asset performance.

  • Leading technical due diligence for acquisitions and project financing
  • Shaping engineering standards, technology selection, and project delivery strategy
  • Overseeing EPC contractors, technical advisors, and project delivery partners
  • Providing technical leadership across a growing portfolio of solar PV and BESS assets
  • Supporting investment decisions by translating technical risks into commercial insights
  • Building and developing a high-performing technical team
