Climate17 is working with a leading UK renewable energy developer to recruit a Senior Project Manager to support the development and delivery of utility-scale renewable energy and data centre projects.

The Role
You'll take ownership of a portfolio of projects, managing them from early-stage origination through planning, land agreements, grid connection and commercial delivery.
Working alongside technical, planning, legal and commercial specialists, you'll coordinate every stage of the development process, ensuring projects progress efficiently towards investment and construction.
While renewable energy projects will form the core of your portfolio, you'll also have the opportunity to become involved in innovative energy-adjacent projects, including grid-connected data centre developments, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience into one of the fastest-growing sectors of the energy market.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day development of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Coordinate planning, land, legal, grid and technical workstreams.
- Secure key project rights including land agreements, planning consents and grid connections.
- Manage project programmes, budgets and development risks.
- Work closely with landowners, planning consultants, engineers, legal advisers and other external stakeholders.
- Support project acquisitions, disposals and investment due diligence.
- Prepare project reporting and present progress internally.
About You
We're keen to speak with professionals who have experience managing renewable energy development projects through multiple stages of the development lifecycle.
You'll ideally have
- 5+ years' experience developing renewable energy projects.
- Experience delivering utility-scale solar, BESS and/or onshore wind projects.
- Strong understanding of UK planning and grid connection processes.
- Experience negotiating land agreements and managing external consultants.
- Excellent stakeholder management and commercial awareness.
- The ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Data centre experience is not essential.
