Our client, a leading specialist in photovoltaic (PV) mounting systems, is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the continued growth of its ground-mounted solar product portfolio. With a strong focus on innovation, engineering excellence, and sustainability, the organisation plays a key role in enabling the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure across the UK and internationally.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the structural design and analysis of ground-mounted solar systems, ensuring safety, compliance, efficiency, and reliability across a range of projects.
Working in a hybrid capacity, with flexibility around remote working, the Senior Structural Engineer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and product performance.
- Reviewing site surveys and ground investigation reports to inform foundation and structural design decisions.
- Producing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and structural calculations.
- Conducting structural analysis to assess load cases, stress distribution, and system performance.
- Providing technical guidance during installation phases, supporting on-site teams with structural queries.
- Carrying out quality assurance checks to ensure designs meet regulatory and internal standards.
- Collaborating with project managers and construction teams to deliver practical, buildable solutions.
- Keeping up to date with emerging trends and advancements in structural engineering and solar technology.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is highly desirable.
Demonstrable post-graduate structural engineering experience; renewable energy project exposure advantageous.
Strong working knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g., Dlubal, ETABS, SAP2000, Tekla or equivalent).
Experience using AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.
Competitive salary up to £50,000 per annum.
