Climate17 is working with a leading international renewable energy EPC business to support the appointment of an experienced Sales Manager to join their growing UK team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional with a strong track record in the renewable energy sector to play a key role in driving business growth and supporting the delivery of large-scale solar and energy storage projects across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse market trends, regulatory frameworks, and customer requirements
  • Develop and expand relationships with new and existing clients and partners
  • Assess client and project pipelines to identify opportunities and priorities
  • Evaluate project opportunities and support strategic business development activities
  • Manage key client relationships across the project lifecycle
  • Lead the acquisition process for large-scale renewable energy projects from initial engagement through to contract signature
  • Act as the interface between clients and internal project teams to ensure customer requirements are effectively communicated and delivered
  • Oversee preparation of commercial and technical proposals
  • Define and review project requirements with project managers and clients
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Construction teams
  • Review and manage client-supplied project documentation and data packages
About You

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with strong relationship management skills and a genuine passion for renewable energy and decarbonisation. You will ideally have:

  • A commercial and/or technical degree qualification or equivalent experience
  • Several years’ experience in sales and Key Account Management
  • Experience working with utilities, IPPs, asset managers, or similar stakeholders
  • A background within the renewable energy sector, ideally solar PV and/or battery storage
  • Experience managing tender and bid processes
  • Strong contract negotiation and commercial management skills
  • Experience in cost calculation and budgeting
