- Oversee IT, systems, suppliers, logistics and operational compliance.
- Support payroll inputs, expenses and related operational finance processes.
- Identify and manage operational, regulatory and reputational risks.
- Coordinate Board meetings, statutory filings and director communications.
- Drive continuous improvement through digital tools, automation and responsible AI use.
About you
- Substantial experience in a senior operations or business management role.
- Experience of line-managing employees and managing other managers.

- Experience of structured project management and supporting others to deliver projects effectively.
- An understanding of governance, risk and compliance within a UK-registered organisation.
- Familiarity with areas such as statutory filings, audits and data protection.
- Confident and practical experience using AI tools to automate processes, improve quality and increase organisational impact.
- Sound judgement concerning the responsible and ethical use of AI.
- Excellent judgement and discretion.
- The confidence to advise senior leaders and escalate issues constructively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a remote-first and internationally distributed organisation.
Desirable experience
It would be beneficial to have:
- A management or leadership qualification.
- An HR qualification, CIPD membership or progress towards one.
- A recognised project management accreditation, such as PRINCE2.
- Experience working within or alongside a not-for-profit organisation, think tank or community interest company.
