Role Purpose

As Senior Business Development Manager, you will identify and create commercial opportunities across the clean-energy sector, grow key client accounts, and contribute to broader market strategy. You will work closely with clients and stakeholders to turn market insight into revenue-generating opportunities and long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sector-focused business development activity across organisations driving the energy transition, including technologies such as BESS, Solar PV, EV charging, Wind, Marine, and Hydrogen.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies, identify new opportunities, and map sector value chains.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through outreach, events, networking, and stakeholder engagement (OEMs, developers, utilities, investors, integrators).
  • Nurture long-term relationships to generate qualified opportunities, strategic partnerships, and new revenue streams.

Key Account Growth

  • Manage major clean-tech client accounts, taking full ownership of relationship management and growth.
  • Build a deep understanding of each client’s technology, business model, sector positioning, and commercial challenges.
  • Set annual, quarterly, and monthly commercial goals in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Drive measurable pipeline growth, improve conversion rates, and increase won work for each account.
  • Identify risks or barriers early and implement corrective action.
  • Lead renewal discussions and ensure strong client retention.
