Climate17 is pleased to be working with a B Corp certified sustainable engineering consultancy that is driving measurable impact across the built environment. This growing and ambitious practice supports organisations in unlocking the potential of energy, power, heat, and cooling to deliver meaningful decarbonisation outcomes. Their integrated teams work across sustainability analytics, MEP design, and heat network operations to create intelligent, data‑driven solutions across buildings and infrastructure.
The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Sustainability Consultant with good experience across Energy Modelling (IES) focus to join their London‑based team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast‑moving consultancy where individuals are empowered to take ownership and make visible impact. The team values initiative, agility, and collaborative problem‑solving, offering early exposure to clients, diverse sectors, and technically varied projects. The role sits within the sustainability and analytics function, delivering decarbonisation strategies, heat network optimisation studies, whole‑life carbon assessments, and detailed energy modelling. As part of a scaling organisation, this role offers genuine breadth and accelerated development - with the opportunity to shape approaches, influence internal best practice, and see the direct impact of your work.
The Role
You will lead the delivery of energy modelling outputs using IES, taking technical ownership of modelling methodologies, assumptions, QA processes, and reporting. This is a hands‑on, end‑to‑end role where you will drive delivery rather than simply support it. While energy modelling is the core focus, you will also contribute to wider sustainability workstreams as required, bringing the same rigour and ownership across decarbonisation, heat networks, and carbon analysis projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead IES modelling delivery end-to-end
- Deliver TM52 / TM59 overheating assessments
- Deliver TM54 operational energy modelling
- Develop robust modelling assumptions and QA processes
- Produce clear, concise reports for both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Support wider sustainability workstreams including decarbonisation options, heat network analysis, whole life carbon inputs, and planning support
- Contribute to improving internal processes, QA standards, and delivery templates as the team scales
About You
- Have strong hands‑on experience delivering IES modelling projects (not just assisting)
- Have demonstrable experience with TM52, TM59, and TM54
- Take initiative and are comfortable owning technical delivery
- Are adaptable and comfortable working across multiple sustainability disciplines
- Communicate complex technical outputs clearly and effectively
- Enjoy working in a collaborative, build‑and‑improve environment
Why Apply?
- Join a purpose‑led, B Corp certified consultancy
- Gain exposure to varied sectors and meaningful decarbonisation projects
- Play a visible role in shaping technical delivery as the business grows
- Develop breadth beyond a single specialism
