Role
O&M Manager – Renewable Energy
Climate17 is working alongside a well-established UK-based asset management firm specializing in the entire project lifecycle of renewable energy and power generation assets.
We are seeking an O&M Manager to ensure contractual and statutory compliance for a portfolio of Solar PV and BESS O&M contracts. The successful candidate will aim to maximize asset production, increase efficiency, and maintain high safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide O&M services to meet contractual requirements, including reactive callouts, team recruitment, training, and competency management.
- Ensure staff have the correct tools and equipment.
- Monitor maintenance performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Develop maintenance plans and schedules.
- Manage work control, report on completed tasks, and ensure safety compliance.
- Write and review RAMS, permits, and maintenance procedures.
- Manage a team of engineers, ensuring safety adherence.
- Oversee supplier relationships and equipment warranties.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders such as DNOs and asset owners.
- Respond to emergencies, outages, and changing site conditions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the O&M service, providing updates and contractual reports.
- Manage P&L for services and contracts.
- Ensure accurate client invoicing and supplier payments.
- Assist with integrating new sites into maintenance systems.
- Utilize and maintain a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Requirements
- Qualification in electrical or electro-mechanical discipline.
- ECS Gold Card (essential).
- Experience in electrical or multi-skilled maintenance.
- Proficiency in IT tools (Word, Outlook, Excel) and troubleshooting software.
- Qualification for safe site work.
- HV qualified person (AP15/OP40).
- Knowledge of HV/LV power electronics (inverters, converters, transformers).
- Experience with BESS (preferred).
- HVAC training and F-Gas qualification (preferred).
- Understanding of IT networking, CMD, remote desktop, MODBUS/TCP protocols (preferred).
- C&G2391-5 Test & Inspect or equivalent (preferred).
Additional Details
Location: Remote with nationwide travel as required.
