We partner with a diverse client base, from early-stage developers and IPPs to EPCs, OEMs, consultancies, and asset owners. In the US, we’ve built a strong foundation and are now scaling our presence further.
The Role
We’re hiring an Associate Director to support our VP and existing team with our US expansion. This is a high-impact, market-facing role for an experienced recruitment professional who will drive growth, close business, and build long-term partnerships across the US renewable energy industry.
You’ll take the lead on business development, client strategy and market engagement. You’ll represent Climate17 at industry events across the US, building visibility and influence in the sector.
This role can be based anywhere in the UK and will target the US market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development in the US renewable energy market, developing strategic client relationships.
- Represent Climate17 at conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
- Manage the full recruitment sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Build and maintain deep talent networks aligned with client needs.
- Collaborate with the US Recruitment team to ensure seamless, high-quality delivery.
- Play a key role in shaping our US team structure and long-term growth strategy.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Climate17 and our B Corp values.
About You
- Proven success in recruitment, ideally within technical or professional services.
- Commercially minded with strong client-facing and business development skills.
- Excellent communicator with a natural ability to build rapport and influence.
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated, able to thrive in a remote, autonomous role.
- Passion for the renewable energy sector and sustainability is a strong plus.
