The impact you\’ll own
As a Senior Backend & Platform Engineer in our Carta pod, you will work on systems that integrate with external customers and other internal systems to orchestrate the discovery and risk analysis of company asset datasets. You will work on modelling the corporate network, their asset portfolios and build robust APIs and workflows that orchestrate end-to-end business processes. You\’ll also play a key role in developing and maintaining the infrastructure and monitoring solution within our cross-functional team to ensure reliable and scalable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Implementation:
- Design and implement scalable backend services using TypeScript
- Build robust APIs and workflows that orchestrate end-to-end business processes
- Design and implement service-based architecture patterns
- Work with deployment services like Kubernetes for reliable application deployment
- Implement comprehensive error handling and monitoring solutions
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Model corporate networks and asset portfolios
- Infrastructure & Platform:
- Assist in the design and implementation of Kubernetes infrastructure to support Carta and other product pods
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Ensure high availability and reliability of services
- Implement and maintain logging and monitoring solutions
- Coordinate with the team on deployment strategies and system architecture
Essential Skills
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern backend development
- Strong understanding of API design and RESTful services
- Experience with deployment services and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of behavior-driven development (BDD) and testing strategies
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Python ETL development and geospatial data processing
- Experience with event-driven, orchestration, or message queuing systems
- Experience with the Temporal orchestration framework
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm)
