Climate Policy Radar

Climate Policy Radar is an independent non‑profit building open, credible data infrastructure and AI‑powered tools for climate, nature, and development action.

Our data and tools help governments, researchers, international organisations, civil society, and the private sector to understand and advance effective climate policies and deploy climate finance. Harnessing data science and AI – including pioneering applications of natural language processing in this field – we make previously unstructured, siloed data easier to find, understand, and act on.

We are a team of policy experts, engineers, data scientists, product thinkers, communicators, and operators. We care deeply about how we work – our values, culture, and ways of collaborating – as well as what we build. As part of that, we have embraced a flexible, hybrid approach to work, including a four‑day workweek.

This is a permanent role supporting our Founder/CEO, designed to protect and multiply the scarce resource that is her time. You will own the diary, inbox, travel, and logistics, prepare the CEO for every meeting, and produce and assemble high‑quality written material to a senior standard. The work spans day‑to‑day operational reliability and judgement‑led support: knowing what matters, anticipating what is coming, and clearing the path.

You will interact regularly with senior funders, multilateral institutions, board members, partners, and team members, so discretion and a sure touch are essential.

What you will do

  • Own and actively manage the CEO's calendar, prioritising ruthlessly against shifting demands and protecting focused time.
  • Run inbox triage and correspondence, drafting on the CEO's behalf where appropriate.
  • Prepare thorough meeting briefs: who, why, what is needed, and what good looks like.
  • Coordinate complex international travel and the logistics around conferences, summits, and external events.
  • Draft, edit, and assemble briefs, decks, and correspondence to a standard that is immediately credible to funders and board members.
  • Track the CEO's commitments and follow‑ups, and keep them moving.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact between the CEO and internal colleagues, funders, and partners.

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years experience as an EA / executive business partner or similar role, ideally supporting a founder or CEO.
  • Exceptional organisation and the judgement to prioritise without being told.
  • Strong written English and a feel for register: you can draft something that reads as though the CEO wrote it.
  • Experience with G‑Suite, Slack, and AI tooling (we use Claude).
  • Calm, accurate, and dependable under pressure and across time zones.
  • Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive information and relationships.
  • Adaptable and low‑ego, comfortable moving between high‑stakes drafting and practical logistics.
  • Values alignment and genuine interest in our mission is desirable.
  • Sector experience is welcome but not required.

Benefits

  • Salary range depending on experience.
  • A deep commitment to employee wellbeing, including policies such as 4‑day workweek (same pay, Fridays off), unlimited annual leave, and a wellbeing allowance.
  • A vibrant, collaborative, empathetic work culture that thrives on innovation and the impact of our work.
  • Hybrid work environment (2 days a week) in London, currently at Sustainable Ventures in County Hall with a plan to move to TechSpace in Goswell Road in late March. We welcome conversations about flexibility and remote work to accommodate individual needs.
