We are looking to fill EWI Insulation installer positions for an immediate start. We are working in most areas of North West of England, Greater London and Midlands. However, we are looking for more people to join us who are local to Manchester, Cheadle and Stockport.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ qualification, working experience in External Wall Insulation. This job requires working in dusty environment, working at heightsand in confined spaces. Also will need to handle power tools to carry out drilling, cutting and grinding of building fabric elements.

An External Wall Insulation (EWI) specialist is responsible for installing and maintaining external wall insulation systems to improve the energy efficiency and thermal performance of buildings. This role involves working on various construction projects, including residential properties, to enhance their insulation and reduce energy consumption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare external walls for insulation, including surface checks and minor repairs.
  • Prepare jobs by removing external fixtures, e.g. satellites, CCTV cameras, guttering and rainwater goods etc.
  • Install the EWI system as per the specification from the system specifier, and instructions from the designer.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely, cleanly, and to a high standard.
  • Work effectively with other tradespeople and site managers.
  • Follow health & safety and environmental regulations,
  • Take photos required under scheme and complete any relevant paperwork.

Requirements:

  • Experience of External Wall Insulation and knowledge of current requirements.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Insulation and building treatments, External Wall Insulation.
  • Basic knowledge of other building trades like plastering, plumbing, roofing, electrics etc.
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings/specifications.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
