THE ROLE
As a PR Associate with Climate Impact Partners, you will play a crucial role in driving climate action by providing operational support across Climate Impact Partners' PR and Communications function, with a particular focus on running our corporate social media channels and supporting the delivery of external events. The role also provides light-touch support on announcement drafting and awards submissions, giving the postholder a well-rounded introduction to comms. This role is critical to building Climate Impact Partners’ brand, ensuring the business maintains a consistent, professional external presence day to day, freeing up senior leadership to focus on strategic narrative, media relations, and reputational risk management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Social media (core)
- You will run Climate Impact Partners’ corporate social channels day to day, ensuring they reflect our brand, narrative and reputation priorities.
- Manage daily publishing, scheduling and governance of Climate Impact Partners’ corporate social channels (primarily LinkedIn).
- Draft social posts aligned to the editorial calendar, leadership visibility needs and market developments.
- Ensure all content meets claims, accuracy and reputational safeguards before publishing (with Director sign-off on anything sensitive).
- Track performance through monthly reporting, identifying insights and optimisation opportunities.
- Support executive social media activity (drafting, posting, engagement monitoring).
- Lead live social coverage for events, award wins, announcements and milestones.
Events (core)
- Support the Director in delivering external events, from Climate Weeks to sponsored engagements and speaking opportunities.
- Assist with logistical preparation: run sheets, checklists, registration and event materials.
- Coordinate speaker bios, briefing documents, session abstracts and submission forms.
- Support content capture and amplification for social media and PR channels.
- Assist with on-site event coordination where required.
Announcement support
- Maintain the organisation-wide editorial calendar (corporate, client, project and thought leadership announcements).
- Draft first versions of short-form comms materials (announcement copy, social copy) for Director review.
- Gather inputs and approvals from relevant internal teams.
- Maintain trackers covering announcements, upcoming milestones and required outputs.
Awards support
- Maintain the awards calendar across corporate, project, team and individual categories.
- Draft first-version award entries and coordinate collection of evidence, metrics and quotes.
- Coordinate social amplification for shortlists and wins.

Knowledge and Experience
- Essential
- Strong writing skills, including the ability to draft clear, concise social and short-form content.
- 1–3 years' experience in PR, communications, digital marketing, events or a related field.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Curiosity and interest in sustainability, climate policy or market developments.

- Experience with social scheduling or analytics tools.
- Event coordination experience.
- Experience in sustainability or climate-related communications.
