The Role

As a Sourcing Manager for APAC, you will play a critical role in securing and shaping Climate Impact Partners' supply across the region. You will be responsible for building and managing a high‐quality pipeline of carbon projects, securing access to near‐ and long‐term volume, and developing strong partnerships with project developers and ecosystem stakeholders. This role goes beyond transaction execution. You will take a strategic approach to sourcing – ensuring supply is aligned with portfolio needs, evolving quality expectations, and client demand. You will identify and originate differentiated opportunities across APAC, with a focus on high‐integrity projects, scalable supply, and emerging methodologies. You will work closely with cross‐functional teams including Portfolio Management, Technical, Due Diligence, Commercial, and Legal to ensure sourced projects meet Climate Impact Partners' standards and are effectively positioned within the portfolio. You will also support engagement with the evolving regulatory landscape in the region, including Article 6‐aligned opportunities and compliance market developments, helping to position Climate Impact Partners as a trusted partner in APAC.

The ideal candidate brings strong commercial capability, a deep understanding of carbon markets, and the ability to operate both as a dealmaker and a strategic partner in building a high‐integrity, future‐fit supply portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Partnerships: Build and manage a pipeline of high‐quality carbon projects aligned with regional and global supply priorities. Originate and secure new partnerships with project developers across APAC. Structure and negotiate commercial agreements to secure volume, pricing, and long‐term access to supply. Develop strong, trust‐based relationships with key project partners.
  • Strategy & Market Insight: Contribute to regional sourcing strategy, identifying priority markets, project types, and partnership models. Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and methodology developments to inform sourcing decisions. Support the development of a forward‐looking pipeline aligned with future demand and portfolio gaps.
  • Quality & Portfolio Alignment: Collaborate with Technical, Due Diligence, and Portfolio Management teams to ensure supply meets internal quality standards. Prioritise high‐integrity projects, incorporating ratings, CCP status, and delivery risk into decision‐making. Ensure sourced projects are well‐positioned within the portfolio and aligned with client needs.
  • Article 6 & Regulatory Engagement: Support identification and advancement of Article 6‐aligned opportunities, including pathways for Corresponding Adjustments and CORSIA eligibility. Maintain awareness of regional compliance markets and regulatory developments. Engage with relevant ecosystem stakeholders, including developers, intermediaries, and (where appropriate) government actors.
  • Execution & Portfolio Management: Manage deals through internal approval, contracting, and onboarding processes. Track project delivery, flag risks, and support resolution of delays or issues. Maintain accurate data in internal systems and support cross‐functional coordination.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Several years of relevant commercial experience in carbon markets, with a strong track record in sourcing, business development, or commercial deal‐making.
  • Experience negotiating and closing commercial agreements with external partners.
  • Experience and network in energy, agriculture, forestry, conservation and/or natural resource management.
  • Knowledge of Article 6 Framework and its role within the carbon market.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial judgement and structured approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • National, or holder of a valid required work visa in the host country.

Desirable:
