This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Part Time Project Manager for our Glastonbury, CT office. Be involved in projects with our CM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
- Assist the Project Manager to manage daily construction administration and inspection for building or facility project which includes:
- Responsible for record keeping, correspondence, compiling and delivering of required reports.
- Attend various project meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes.
- Provide daily oversight of contractor work activities, assist in coordinating inspections.
- Prepare daily reports and verify percentage of completion for Payment Applications in accordance with client requirements.
- Assist in coordination with the designer to respond to Contractors’ submittals, RFI's and shop drawings.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Past construction experience preferred
- Minimum 10 years experience in building construction or transit related projects as a resident engineer
- Ability to review construction drawings, CSI specifications, shop drawings, contractor schedules, permit and inspection requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel
- Working knowledge of e-builder is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- PE License or CCM Certification
- OSHA 10 Hour Certification
