Climate change is the defining business challenge of our time, and we're here to solve it. Most decarbonisation solutions count emissions but do nothing to reduce them. We've changed that. We’re Neutreeno, an emissions-to-performance platform, born out of the University of Cambridge's Department of Engineering. We help companies with supply chains and production processes turn emissions data into operational insight, the kind that cuts costs, sharpens decisions, and unlocks genuine competitive advantage.
As Neutreeno's Founding Account Executive, you will own the entire commercial motion for our largest enterprise accounts - from first conversation to signed contract. You will be one of the first dedicated salespeople at a company that has already closed six-figure contracts with global enterprises, and you will have direct input into how we scale.
This is not a role where you inherit a mature playbook. You will help write it. That means sourcing, structuring, and closing complex deals across industries with long buying cycles, multiple stakeholders, and procurement and legal processes that require patience and precision. You will work directly with the CEO and Growth lead, with full visibility into strategy and the ability to shape it.
The opportunity is significant. Neutreeno sits at the intersection of regulatory pressure, supply chain transformation, and a genuine gap in the market. Your job is to make sure the right people understand it.
This position operates on a hybrid work model with 3 days per week in our Cambridge office. Exceptional London-based candidates will be considered with a 2-day per week office requirement. Fully remote arrangements will be considered for outstanding international candidates, provided there is sufficient overlap with UK working hours.
The Work You’ll Do
- Lead the entire sales process from prospect qualification to deal closure, working alongside the founder and commercial team.
- Drive prospecting and pipeline development by identifying and qualifying potential enterprise clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at enterprise accounts, including C-level executives, Heads of Sustainability, and Heads of Procurement.
- Own sales forecasting and performance tracking, accurately predicting sales outcomes, monitoring key metrics, and providing regular reports to management.
- Collaborate closely with our leadership team to refine and improve sales processes based on real-world learnings.
Requirements
The Minimum Qualifications You’ll Need
- Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience (4+ years preferred) with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota in enterprise sales.
- Proven ability to close complex, technical deals and negotiate contracts with enterprise clients.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to manage a large pipeline and prioritise effectively across multiple deals.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, forecasting, and sales enablement tools.
- You have outstanding collaboration skills and can work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Builder's mentality with eagerness to roll up your sleeves to help build and scale the sales function from the ground up.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in early-stage startups (Seed to Series A), with a preference for those who have been part of an early sales team and thrive in fast-moving environments.
- Experience in the sustainability or climate sector strongly preferred.
Benefits
What We Offer
- £100,000 - £130,000 OTE.
- £50,000 - £65,000 base pay dependent on your skills, qualifications and experience.
- Year-end performance bonus.
- Competitive stock option plan.
- Company pension with NEST.
- Leading private health insurance with WPA.
- Cycle to work scheme.
Work Environment:
- A hybrid work model that fosters both teamwork and individual flexibility.
- Remote working allowance (2 weeks per year).
- Work from Neutreeno HQ at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
- Great on-site amenities.
Culture & Growth:
- A flat, fast-growing team (200%+ YoY growth) from diverse backgrounds.
- An open-minded culture with a flat hierarchy.
- The chance to work alongside world-class climate scientists and engineers.
