We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished HR professional interested in joining the Senior Leadership Team of our mission-led business, helping us shape and drive our growth through a combination of talent acquisition, improving company culture, and retaining talent. This role is open to either 4 or 5 days per week. Please detail your preference on your application, along with your salary expectations for either full or part-time: Office days: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in our Victoria office (SW1) 8.30am-5.30pm.
About the role:
- Recruitment: Extensive experience in all aspects of recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates. Ownership of all new vacancies, including creating and posting job specs on our Workable ATS/recruitment platform. Expertise in designing and executing recruitment strategies, managing the full recruitment cycle, and utilising various recruitment platforms.
- HR: Demonstrated experience working within the UK HR framework, with a solid understanding of UK employment laws, regulations, and best practices. Reviewing and enhancing the current process for the onboarding & off-boarding of staff. Support line management in the Induction and Probation periods of new employees. Review initiatives that reduce sickness and increase staff retention. Day-to-day HR support to the business on performance management, employee relations, salary/bonus planning, and employee engagement. Manage the HR Database and employee folders. Completion of all HR administration. Manage the outsourced payroll & pension scheme administration. Consulting with external advisors where necessary to ensure that policies comply with all relevant law and regulations. Experience drafting offer letters and employment contracts.
- Company Culture: Support the delivery, communications, and roll-out of team building and wellbeing initiatives and company benefits/policies (flexi-time, private healthcare, coaching and mentoring). Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to drive and champion change. Organise quarterly offsite team building events. Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and retention.
Requirements:
- The successful applicant will have the following experience and expertise: 10 years of professional experience with a minimum of 7 years in talent acquisition and HR. Strong skills in managing employee relations, fostering a positive workplace culture, and implementing effective HR practices. Experience in implementing company culture and wellness initiatives. Solid understanding of HR policies and procedures, up to level 5 CIPD or alternative qualifications. Experience in a small business or start-up is a must!
