The Role
As a Conference Producer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a sponsorship-driven portfolio of events that deliver meaningful environmental and social impact. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Content & Programme Manager with proven experience in conference production, someone ready to take on a rewarding challenge and help build high-impact, purposeāled events.
Your key focus areas will include:
- Content Strategy & Agenda Development: Develop and oversee content strategies and event agendas for a portfolio of ināperson and online events aligned with the climate agenda.
- Market Research & Programme Curation: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitor activity, and sector challenges. Translate insights into commercially attractive agendas, topics, and sessions.
- Content Development: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to produce session content, interviews, speaker scripts, and production briefs.
- Value Proposition Creation: Craft compelling event narratives to attract high-level speakers, sponsors, partners, and target audiences, delivered through sponsorship and marketing briefs.
- Production Cycle Management: Plan and manage the full production lifecycle of events, ensuring timely delivery, accurate milestone tracking, and achieving goals.
- Speaker Management & Engagement: Identify, invite, and manage high-level speakers and moderators. Secure global climate leaders and influential voices through sector expertise.
- Project Management: Oversee end-to-end event execution and post-event analysis to ensure smooth delivery and continuous improvement.
- Topic Research & Validation: Continuously explore and validate new themes to support timely event launches throughout the year.
- Speaker & Panel Briefings: Prepare briefing documents and coordinate all speaker sessions for seamless delivery.
- Commercial & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the sales team to secure partners and coordinate sponsorship participation.
- Team Coordination: Lead the development of event briefs for marketing, sales, and operations teams.
- Revenue Strategy: Establish content and speaker inventories to support revenue targets.
- Audience Strategy: Design and implement strategies for audience acquisition and engagement.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to partners, speakers, and stakeholders, resolving issues promptly.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor content strategies and event milestones to meet KPIs.
- Marketing Copywriting: Write promotional copy for marketing campaigns and editorial content.
- Website Management: Keep event websites up to date with speakers, partners, sessions, and key information.
- Onsite Delivery: Manage onsite event execution, ensuring all objectives and expectations are met.
- Post-Event Analysis: Conduct evaluations and produce detailed reports on event outcomes.

Essential
- Proven experience creating, managing and delivering international B2B conferences funded by sponsorship and delegate or membership revenue streams; ideally in sustainability, climate change, energy or agriculture.
- Experience in a single market sector, including evidence of strong relationships with key players across the industry, such as sustainable innovation, energy transition, investment, hydrogen, supply chains and climate policy.
- Proven success in launching, producing, and delivering events in both live and online formats.
- Alignment with Climate Action's mission and our business objectives.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and organised; able to work independently to deliver tasks and achieve project objectives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
