We are looking for an enthusiastic GP Vet to work in our single vet, consult only clinic, with the opportunity for a fixed shift at one of our other branches. What’s on offer for you?
- You will have lots of support from experienced colleagues with Certificates in Surgery, Cardiology, Feline medicine, and Small Animal Medicine.
- We also have certificates ‘In-Progress’ and a wealth of other experience and qualifications in other handy subjects such as Behaviour, Herbal Medicine, and Acupuncture.
- Your working week will be over four days, and you will also be part of the shared weekend rota.
- There are no night duties or bank holiday work as our Redland Hospital is the host practice for the Vets Now Bristol Clinic.
Opportunities with Clifton Vets
Our Clifton clinic is a single vet, consult only site, but the role can also involve a fixed shift at our busy hospital site, where support will be available from our experienced team. There is the opportunity to take on some management of the site if this is an area of interest.
Join our supportive team
The site will be undergoing a refurb in the near future, which will allow us to continue our high standard of care to our dedicated and proactive client base. You would be supported by experienced receptionists and a registered vet nurse. Ideally, we are looking for a full-time candidate, who would be happy to join our weekend rota, but part-time applicants would be considered.
About You
We are looking for a Vet with more than 1 year of post-graduation experience. Our new Vet must be able and willing to perform GP work, including consultations. Although all complex cases could be referred to our hospital team, you would be the only vet in our Clifton branch so confidence in sole-charge work is necessary. Our ideal candidate will be organised, and a good communicator with both clients and colleagues.
Because our employees matter

- Wellbeing: Private Medical Insurance; Employee Assistance Programme: 24/7 confidential helpline; Enhanced family-friendly policies, including maternity/paternity/adoption/shared parental and surrogacy pay; Initiatives focused on colleague wellbeing.
