Management Accountant

Are you a commercially minded Management Accountant who likes to know what the numbers are really telling you?

We’re growing our Finance team and looking for a Management Accountant to join us, based on site in Bolton.

You’ll be responsible for key parts of month-end, management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, but this isn’t a role where you’ll just be sat behind a spreadsheet. You’ll work closely with managers across our depot network, explain performance, challenge variances and turn financial data into useful commercial insight.

You’ll also work closely with our Financial Controller and FP&A team, support budgeting and forecasting, and help us improve the way we do things across Finance.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA (or a finalist)
• Has strong management accounting and month-end experience
• Is seriously good with Excel
• Understands financial controls and reconciliations
• Has strong business partnering skills and is confident working with and challenging stakeholders
• Is commercially minded and can turn financial data into clear, practical insight
• Has experience of system improvements and implementations
• Has experience with SAP (desirable)
• Is proactive, practical and always looking for a better way of doing things
