We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior In‑House Commercial Lawyer to join this small and dynamic legal team.
This is a fantastic newly created position reporting directly to the Head of Legal.
It is expected this role will succeed the current head of legal within a high‑impact position at the centre of a dynamic business.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in negotiating commercial contracts with a global customer base together with exposure to property‑related agreements, employment issues, disputes and governance and compliance.
Above all, we are looking for someone with a pragmatic commercial approach, who is willing and able to manage their own workload and work collaboratively as part of a team.
You will be pivotal in providing clear, practical advice, often in situations where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts with customers, sales intermediaries, suppliers, service providers and other key business partners.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business objectives and provide proactive legal guidance.
Provide timely and pragmatic legal advice to various business units and teams.
Provide legal advice on leases, acquisitions and wider property management matters.
Manage external legal counsel and business consultants advising on a range of issues including specialist matters such as intellectual property and, where required, trusts.
Stay updated on legal developments and industry trends to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive.
Conduct legal training for staff on relevant legal issues and company policies.
Key requirements
Qualified solicitor/ILEX 3+ PQE with a valid practising certificate.
Ability to work autonomously.
Open to backgrounds from Commercial/Commercial Litigation/Corporate.
