About the role
Reporting to the General Counsel in a small team environment based in the UK head office, we are seeking a full time Senior Legal Counsel to be part of the established legal and compliance team.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft and negotiate contracts with customers, intermediaries, and suppliers.
- Act as the primary contact for legal queries from the Purchasing team.
- Liaising with Trade Compliance & Export Control teams.
- Act as the primary contact for legal queries from Sales and Marketing teams.
- Support the business with responses to tenders and customer queries.
- Work proactively with the business to identify risks and areas for process and compliance improvement.
- Engage with and support other lawyers and compliance colleagues across the Group.
- Provide practical and commercial solutions to legal issues.
- Conduct legal research as necessary.
About you
For this key role, you will:
- Have 3+ pqe
- Qualified UK Solicitor with full rights to work in the UK.
- Strong knowledge and experience working with the Manufacturing sector or other heavily regulated sector.
- Be a highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and a "can do" attitude.
- Have a strong commercial contracts background.
- Show an ability to prioritise and work under pressure in an evolving and dynamic business environment.
The role will require 2 office based days on a weekly basis.
