Responsibilities

  • Support pupils’ learning and development across subjects.
  • Clarify instructions, provide necessary materials and address individual needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and facilitate transitions between early years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain a professional, safe, and nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications and experience

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
  • Experience with the EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 curriculum (ideally two of these three).
  • Ability to facilitate the transition from play‑based learning to structured education at Key Stage 1 or from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2.

Salary & working hours

Pro‑rated salary £22,999.43 per annum (£29,313 Full‑time equivalent). Full‑time term‑time (37.5 hours per week).
