Clifton College is seeking a Graduate Assistant (Modern Foreign Languages) to join the College from September 2026 to July 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate with proficiency in French, Spanish and/or German to gain valuable experience in education while contributing to the vibrant life of a leading independent day and boarding school.

Working within the Modern Languages Faculty, the successful candidate will support pupils through one-to-one and small-group language conversation sessions, helping to build their confidence and fluency, particularly in exam year groups. Accommodation may be offered with this role. Beyond the classroom, the role offers the chance to play a full part in the wider College community. Graduate Assistants support boarding and pastoral activities, contribute to the co-curricular programme including sport, trips and events, and assist with marketing content that captures life at Clifton College.

This varied position is ideal for someone enthusiastic about working with young people, keen to develop teaching experience, and ready to immerse themselves in the academic, pastoral and extracurricular life of the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils through one-to-one and small-group language conversation sessions, helping to build confidence and fluency, particularly in exam year groups.
  • Support boarding and pastoral activities.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular programme, including sport, trips and events.
  • Assist with marketing content that captures life at Clifton College.
