Clifton College is seeking a dedicated and well‑organised individual to join our science team as a Chemistry Technician on a fixed‑term contract until the end of March 2027. This role plays an essential part in supporting the smooth operation of both the Chemistry and Physics departments, working on a structured rota across both disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and clear equipment for class practicals and teacher demonstrations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe learning environment.
  • Assist with departmental administration.
  • Support equipment maintenance and health and safety systems.

Working Hours:

This role is full‑time, with a longer working week of 39 hours during term time and 30 hours during school holiday periods. There is work on a Saturday but this is covered on a rota basis with the other technicians, amounting to roughly 10 Saturdays in a year.
