The role will be responsible for overseeing governance of the Strategic Core Resource Hub and quality assurance of CDC-delivered support, while continuously improving the experience for partners accessing support through the hub. Working closely with the Senior Operations Lead responsible for the operational hubs, the role will ensure the Strategic Core model is delivered consistently and effectively while remaining responsive to the needs of partners and the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Core Resource Hub Leadership
- Lead the implementation, management and ongoing development of the Strategic Core Resource Hub, ensuring it delivers a consistent, high-quality and commercially relevant support model for Strategic Core clients.
- Work closely with the Senior Operations Executive Manager responsible for the operational hubs to ensure effective delivery processes, clear ownership, appropriate resourcing and a seamless partner experience.
- Represent the needs of partners using the Resource Hub, ensuring the service remains intuitive, accessible and responsive.
- Use partner feedback, utilisation data and business insights to identify opportunities to improve service delivery, user experience, tools and resources supporting the Strategic Core model.
- Act as the senior point of oversight for the Strategic Core support model, ensuring it remains practical, scalable and aligned to the objectives of the Strategic Core client category.
- Work closely with Strategic Account Management colleagues and specialist teams to ensure alignment and consistency of approach where appropriate.
- Triage and prioritisation of CDC support
- Assess requests against the agreed service catalogue and determine the most appropriate route of support.
- Determine appropriate prioritisation of CDC-supported requests, balancing partner needs, client importance, commercial opportunity and available resource.
- Manage requests that fall outside scope, consulting with partners and BD colleagues to redirect them to the appropriate resource or to agree a pragmatic way forward.
- Monitor demand across the Strategic Core population to identify trends, capacity pressures and areas where the service catalogue may need to evolve.
- Quality assurance and partner consultation
- Quality assure CDC outputs before they are shared with partners or used in client-facing contexts, ensuring they are accurate, commercially relevant, well-structured and aligned to the required client experience.
- Consult with partners and lawyers requesting support to clarify objectives, refine the brief and ensure the final output is fit for purpose.
- Act as the escalation point for quality issues, unclear briefs and matters requiring judgement on scope, prioritisation or service delivery, resolving issues pragmatically and collaboratively.
- Ensure the CDC outputs produced through the hub reflect the Firm's standards for strategic account management, commercial insight and client-facing excellence.
- Relationship collateral, MI and panel activation support
- Oversee CDC support for relationship meeting collateral, management information and other account management materials, ensuring outputs are tailored, commercially relevant and aligned to partner needs.
- Oversee support for panel-related activities, ensuring partners have access to the materials, insight and practical assistance required to meet panel commitments.
- Commercial insight and client growth enablement
- Bring strong commercial understanding to the role, helping partners frame support requests around client priorities, growth potential and the Firm's strategic objectives.
- Help partners connect available resources - including templates, research, commercial analysis, dashboards and self-serve tools - to the commercial questions they are trying to answer.
- Ensure the Strategic Core Resource Hub supports disciplined client growth, rather than becoming a general administrative support function.
- Governance, Performance and Service Oversight
- Work closely with the Senior Operations Lead to monitor service performance and opportunities to enhance the CDC-supported elements of the Resource Hub.
- Monitor utilisation, demand patterns, turnaround times and stakeholder feedback to identify risks, capacity pressures and areas requiring intervention.
- Provide insight and recommendations to the Head of Client Growth and Strategic Clients on service performance, resourcing requirements and opportunities to enhance the Strategic Core support model.
- Ensure tools, guidance, playbooks and supporting documentation remain current and aligned with the agreed operating model.
- Identify opportunities to evolve the service catalogue via AI and lead on the design and implementation of this.
Qualifications
- Extensive client relationship role or business development role aligned with client growth or similar.
- Ideally experience of setting up or managing an operational hub or offshore resource team.
- Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent commercial analytic skills.
- Experience building AI agents or designing AI enabled processes and resources.
Company Description
Clifford Chance is one of the world's leading law firms, helping clients achieve their goals by combining the highest global standards with local expertise. The Firm has unrivalled scale and depth of legal resources across the key markets of the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and focuses on the core areas of commercial activity across its global product groups and priority sectors. We have an ambitious global strategy which puts clients at the very heart of everything the Firm does. Our Client & Market Development teams are pivotal in making that strategy a reality, supporting partners to deepen relationships, identify growth opportunities and deliver an outstanding client experience.
As part of the evolution of the Firm's client growth strategy, we are introducing a new Strategic Core client category. Strategic Core clients are important clients with significant growth potential, panel relevance, regional importance or cross-practice opportunity. Unlike Global Strategic Clients, these clients will not have dedicated Strategic Account Managers. Instead, partners and lawyers will be supported through a centralised Strategic Core Resource Hub, combining self-serve tools, existing specialist resources, and targeted support from the Client Development Coordinator team.
