An experienced Knowledge Director will provide maternity cover for the Private Funds Group. The role ensures the group’s knowledge resources remain current, consistent, and globally aligned. Collaboration with knowledge lawyers, information officers, partners and fee earners is essential.
Responsibilities
- Oversee update and improvement of global knowledge resources, including precedents, guidance notes, and practice materials.
- Identify and implement innovation and efficiency opportunities in knowledge management processes.
- Encourage knowledge submissions and participation of junior team members.
- Maintain and update the group’s templates to ensure accuracy, compliance and best practice.
- Collaborate with knowledge lawyers and information officers across the firm to align resources and share best practice.
- Liaise with partners and fee earners to ensure tools meet business needs.
- Represent the firm in industry working groups, contributing to thought leadership and staying abreast of market developments.
- Monitor regulatory developments and plan relevant training/briefings for associates.
- Assist in delivery of PFG trainee induction and ongoing education programmes.
- Deliver knowledge updates at group meetings and attend external courses, providing internal feedback.
- Prepare client briefings and thought leadership pieces; assist with industry publication articles.
- Support client training initiatives and coordinate delivery with stakeholders.
- Assist Head of Practice Development with pitch materials and business development activities.
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer / PSL with experience in private fund structures, ideally closed-ended, and related regulatory considerations.
