The start date for this role is as soon as possible and ideally by the end of June 2026.

The role

You will be accountable for implementing world-class Partner development, senior leadership and coaching solutions across the firm focused on our potential and new partners. You will ensure partner candidates are developed and guided through the partner promotion process and you will design and implement a best-in-class programme to support new partners and lateral hires - ensuring they are set up to perform from day one. In addition, you will have day-to-day management of the external coach panel.

Who you will work with

Reporting to the Global Head of Partner Development and working closely with the Learning & Development (L&D) Team, Talent Team, plus other HR roles, functions and Partners globally.

What you will be responsible for

  • Partner Candidate Development & Support
    • Input into the design and delivery of the 'Preparation to Partnership' development for confirmed non equity partner (NEP) candidates, including liaising with external and internal experts and coaches.
    • Input and support delivery of the Partner Promotion process, including the Partnership Candidate Assessment in partnership with the Partner Selection Group (PSG) and L&D team.
    • Partner with the L&D team to manage individual candidate development needs, e.g. targeted coaching requests.
  • New Partner & Lateral Hire Integration Support
    • Design and delivery of the 12-month 'Being a Partner@CC' programme for newly promoted and lateral hire partners, including liaising with external and internal experts and coaches.
    • Manage the development support for laterals as part of their onboarding in partnership with the Lateral Hire Integration Team.
  • Coaching Approach & Delivery
    • Management of the External Coach Panel, including management of quarterly briefing, contracts, and invoices.
    • Delivering coaching needs analysis and providing data insights to inform the Partner Career Journey and leadership development offering.
    • Manage coaching needs for NEP and equity partner (EP) candidates, newly promoted partners and junior partner lateral hires.
  • Measurement & Return on Investment
    • Use data and feedback to measure program effectiveness, coaching impact, and long-term business outcomes.
  • Budget Management & Reporting
    • Budget management and reporting for partner programmes and coaching.

Qualifications

Your experience

  • Skills
    • Expertise in leadership development, executive coaching, and organisational psychology.
    • Strong facilitation and coaching skills.
    • Highly collaborative, with excellent stakeholder engagement across global and matrixed environments.
    • Results-oriented, with strong program design, implementation, and evaluation skills.
  • Experience
    • Experience in leadership development and coaching, ideally within professional services or a partnership environment.
    • Culturally intelligent, with experience designing leadership initiatives for diverse and global audiences.
  • Knowledge
    • An understanding of the legal sector or experience working in a law firm or regulated professional environment is a strong advantage.
  • Qualifications
    • A coaching certification from a recognised body (e.g. ICF, EMCC) is desired.
