  • Develop and articulate clear, compelling messaging and value propositions aligned with the firm’s global positioning, ensuring consistency across all client-facing and internal materials and in media engagement.
  • Identify and position key themes and deliver integrated internal and external communications campaigns to showcase client work, thought leadership, strategic initiatives and sector priorities, using the most effective channels and tracking performance.

  • Ensure that these campaigns are aligned with and support the firm's global vision and strategy and resonate regionally and locally across the firm.
  • In close conjunction with our media relations team, identify key themes for media activity, helping to develop robust proof points and insight that will support our market profile and positioning.
  • Advise your internal clients (partners, product and sector leadership) on the value of marketing opportunities including sponsorship opportunities, participation in industry conferences, events and similar; and – if pursued – how to amplify our engagement and maximise ROI.
  • Ensure all campaigns are realistically budgeted, and that the associated spend is carefully controlled.
  • Identify metrics for evaluating the success of our activity and ensuring that this information is used constantly to improve the quality and impact of our brand, marketing, and communications programmes.
  • Support our recruitment strategy and employee value proposition through our marketing and communications programmes, so that Clifford Chance remains recognised as an outstanding platform for career development.

  • A self-starter, able to identify opportunities and with the resilience and hands-on attitude required to drive progress.
  • A strong grasp of thought leadership and content marketing approaches and how these can be applied most effectively to support brand and commercial goals.
  • An understanding of go-to market, client acquisition and client development strategies for advisory businesses and complex B2B organisations.
