Job Description
Job Purpose
To support colleagues across the global Business Development team by assisting with a range of tactical and operational activities.
This includes supporting client relationship management, business development initiatives, marketing campaigns, and wider Business Development projects.
- Business Development Activities
- Responding to client RFPs, including researching relevant information and coordinating document production.
- Maintaining the firm's library of capability statements, ensuring the regular updating of information as it becomes available.
- Assisting with the legal directory process inclusive of drafting the relevant legal directory submissions.
- Client Events - supporting on the development and implementation of client events, in particular developing and maintaining targeted invitation lists, liaising with Events specialists on logistics, and following up with participants.
- Assist with the production and delivery of internal marketing communications e. g., newsletters, intranet updates, etc.
- Developing external BD and marketing materials such as brochures and client briefings.
- Client listening - supporting the process associated with taking client feedback and using the intelligence to support the growth of the client.
- Relationship meetings - assisting with the production of relationship documents and materials ahead of client meetings.
- Internal relationship communications - assisting with the creation and internal dissemination of client information.
- Supporting the business development team and fee earners on opportunity tracking and pursuit, e. g. pipeline monitoring.
- Data Management Activities
- Setting up and maintaining matter capture as it is incorporated into global processes.
- Leverage reporting from Foundation to assist with managing matter capture, trend spotting, client development.
- Support the process of transferring historical matter information (leveraging directory submissions) into matter capture format.
- Work with fee earners to ensure matter capture forms are properly populated for all new matters.
- Supporting the global Business Development team in the regular audit of capability statements to ensure all materials are kept current.
Qualifications
- Previous business development experience in professional services, preferably within a law firm.
Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management, analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and a track record of delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent attention to detail, including strong editing and proofreading skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Positive, flexible and resilient, with a pragmatic and solutions-focused mindset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
- Experience using Inter Action would be an advantage.
