This leading integrated creative agency is looking for a Business Director for their fast-growing consumer-focused healthcare client, responsible for creating a broad and diverse range of social-first, global, omnichannel content and creative.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Client Services

  1. Managing senior client relationships across all clients in their Business Unit, being the main point of contact, escalation point, and strategic partner to senior clients to ensure the agency is aware of marketing plans. Able to spot and maximise growth opportunities.
  2. Managing clients in terms of scoping and overseeing retainers.
  3. Responsible for showcasing the agency as a best-in-class B2C agency.
  4. Ensure regular client communication via emails, video calls, and face-to-face meetings with clients in the UK.
  5. Build on the positive and professional relationships with the existing clients and identify new ways to strengthen these further.
  6. Identify new opportunities within the marketing team (organic growth), but also focus growth opportunities outside of current clients / agency-wide.
  7. Represent the agency in new business opportunities that focus on B2C.

Team / Resource

  1. Oversee AM and PM teams. Ensure that their careers are developing with the support and guidance they need.
  2. Responsible for scaling resource as and when required, including freelance hiring and onboarding.
  3. Responsible for finding proactive solutions to resource crunches in advance of issues arising.
  4. Work with AM / PM team to resource across all projects based on approved client quotes and schedules.
  5. Ensure there is cooperation and clear communication between all team members.
  6. Ensure the team is clear on briefs and help them to deliver best-in-class creative.
  7. Work with the Account and Project Management teams to ensure an understanding of each project’s scope of work, schedule, and deliverables.

Finance

  1. Responsible for ensuring the account continues to grow at the expected contribution/compensation ratio.
  2. Flagging concerns regarding financials in advance and finding workable solutions to solve issues.
  3. Responsible for the profitability of each project, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget, identifying where efficiencies can be made across work streams and resourcing.
  4. Review and assess project retainers to ensure they are accurate and fair.
  5. Seeking out new opportunities and growth areas on an ongoing basis.

Required Skillsets, Knowledge and Experience

  1. Experience leading global accounts – working across a number of different clients and projects is key.
  2. Experience managing senior clients – demonstrate strong understanding of their business and aiming to move from a production/delivery agency to strategic partner.
  3. Operating as a senior client partner and having the ability to identify issues early and be able to provide solutions.
  4. Good understanding of the client’s business and their audiences.
  5. Good understanding of the social media landscape, organic and paid media.
  6. Knowledge and experience working with talent/influencers.
  7. Good strategic understanding of what clients’ briefs are trying to achieve. An ability to review the creative work as the client, with an eye on strategy and KPI’s.
  8. Passionate about the creative work produced in order to motivate creative teams and push the creative output as well as promote the work we do to new potential clients.
  9. A continuous development mindset to reviewing processes and ways of working and ensuring they are always working smartly and efficiently.
  10. Experience growing an account and organic growth but also identifying and landing new opportunities outside of the known client set.
  11. Commercially astute, extensive experience scoping, forecasting and a clear understanding of the commercials on the account.
  12. Excellent attention to detail.
  13. Solution-focused, always trying to find a better way of doing things – showing initiative and a solutions-focused mindset.
  14. Team management skills – hiring, onboarding, managing and developing team members.
