The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Keep the school premises safe and secure for children, staff and visitors.
- Act as a key holder, ensuring the security and safety of the school buildings and grounds.
- Manage opening/locking up routines and respond to alarm activations and emergencies.
- Oversee the heating systems, reporting faults and ensuring required temperatures are maintained.
- Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning of designated areas and porterage duties.
- Support the upkeep of external areas including litter collection, clearing drains, winter gritting and snow clearance.
- Supervise and liaise with contractors and support cleaning staff as needed.
- Complete routine Health & Safety checks, including fire alarms, asbestos monitoring and legionella testing.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous relevant experience in a caretaking, maintenance or similar practical role.
- Understands Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Is proactive, organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team and has a positive solution-focused attitude.
- Communicates well with staff, contractors and visitors.
- Is physically able to undertake manual duties such as moving furniture, lifting and working in confined spaces.
- Holds a full, clean UK driving licence.
