We are seeking an Insurance Business Architect to provide strategic solutions to business problems that meet requirements defined by our customers. You will bridge the gap between complex insurance business needs across Life, General, and Health lines and the technical configuration of the INSIS platform. This is not just a requirements-gathering role; you will be a hands-on solution expert describing the structure of the business solution and ensuring its seamless fit within the wider business structure and project workflows. Your objective is to translate client processes into high-quality user stories and configured solutions, ensuring the maximisation of standard platform capabilities. Also, you will participate in the recommendation and selection of the functional solution stack, frameworks and platforms to solve the customers’ requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end Insurance business solution architecture.
- Lead requirements workshops and write clear, testable user stories for configuration, customization, and others.
- Define solution requirements, key features of the solution, and phases of implementation.
- Continuously research emerging business technology solutions and propose changes to the existing business solution architecture.
- Analyze the impact of the business solution on the state of the business' goals and direct outcomes of solution implementation.
- Analyze and map client business processes to system modules, including Product Configuration, Quoting/Issuing, Policy Administration, Billing and collections, and Claims.
- Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.
- Configure products and rules in INSIS application and configurator.
- Guide Business Analysts activities, support testing activities.
- Support the functional requirements estimation.
- Validate and document the solution requirements.
- Develop the solution’s proof of concept to show that a feature can fit in the customers’ environment.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Insurance Business Architecture.
- 7+ years’ experience in industry standard Policy Admin System.
- Experience in business analysis and software architecture design.
- Deep analytical skills to see the connections between layers of business operations.
- Knowledge of RDBMS concepts and database design in Oracle.
- Knowledge of PL/SQL and querying data from Oracle database.
- Knowledge in Project Management best practices.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
