This role plays a key part in delivering high-impact data solutions to our clients, supporting business intelligence, data migration and reporting initiatives across core insurance domains. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a solid understanding of insurance operations, and hands-on experience working with data throughout its lifecycle β from analysis and mapping through to validation and user acceptance testing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, actuaries, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure that data solutions meet business needs and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities- Analyze and understand business requirements related to core insurance data (e.g., policies, claims, customers, billing) to support modeling, data migration, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders (such as business analysts, project managers, actuaries, and finance teams) and technical teams to document and validate data requirements.
- Define, document, and maintain comprehensive data mapping specifications, including source-to-target field mappings, transformation rules, data cleansing logic, and validation criteria.
- Perform detailed data analysis to identify data structures, relationships, quality issues, and anomalies across various source systems.
- Translate business rules and requirements into clear, actionable specifications for data development teams (e.g., ETL, reporting).
- Work closely with developers and data engineers to ensure that implemented data solutions meet business needs and functional expectations.
- Develop and execute data validation strategies and test cases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by helping business users validate data outputs and reports.
- Identify, investigate, and help resolve data issues, discrepancies, and defects throughout the data lifecycle.
- Maintain thorough documentation, including data dictionaries, mapping documents, process flows, and project status updates.
- Proven experience as a Data or Business Analyst, preferably in data migration and/or reporting projects within the insurance industry.
- Solid understanding of core insurance operations (e.g., policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing) and related data structures.
- Strong skills in data analysis, data profiling, and data mapping (source-to-target).
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and validation.
- Demonstrated ability to define and document detailed data transformation rules and validation criteria.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in English Language on a daily basis, both spoken and written form.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear functional and technical documentation.
- Experience with core insurance systems (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Insis, SICS, Insurity, or other legacy/modern platforms).
- Familiarity with ETL tools and processes used in data migration or data integration projects.
- Understanding data governance, metadata management, and data quality best practices.
- Experience in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, data visualization, and business intelligence tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Actuarial Science, or related field.
