What you'll do

  • Act as the main point of contact between various business departments and technology teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate clear understanding of project objectives, requirements, and priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog, ensuring that it reflects stakeholder needs and business value.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration.
  • Analyze and document business processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams, ensuring they have a clear understanding of requirements and expectations.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Conduct stakeholder reviews and presentations to showcase project updates and gather feedback.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance product offerings and processes.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new team members, sharing knowledge and best practices related to Agile methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development of product roadmaps, aligning them with strategic business objectives.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst, with a strong preference for experience in Agile environments.
  • In-depth understanding of technical concepts, with the ability to effectively communicate these to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration across teams.
  • Proven track record in managing stakeholder expectations and adhering to project timelines.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining product backlogs, prioritizing tasks based on business value and stakeholder input.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with various Agile frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycles and methodologies.
  • Previous experience in the travel or hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and practices.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
