Your role: As a Software Engineering Lead you will remain hands-on with software engineering (focusing on architecture and design) whilst heading-up a small, cross functional team with responsibility for the delivery and technical quality of all features and applications in that area as well as the teams' personal development. You'll guide the definition of the technical roadmap, ensuring that the system complies with software engineering standards for maintainability, reliability, scalability and security; supporting the team to ensure they can deliver on time, managing resources and removing blockers as well as providing training and career development paths to drive continuous improvement. The role offers quick progression into a management role.

About you: You have strong software engineering skills with technologies such as Python, TypeScript, Java, Elixir, Scala or Ruby in a SaaS environment. You have a good knowledge of AWS. You're able to conduct code reviews and provide coaching and mentoring. You have effective communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence others and explain complex technical information. You are delivery focused and have experience of managing technical projects. You have commercial acumen. You are degree educated in a technical or scientific discipline, Computer Science preferred.
