Are you a technologist DevOps Engineer with a strong knowledge of Azure and experience with a range of tools? As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will help build and scale an Azure cloud platform for a particular area of the business. This is a hands-on role with significant ownership, where you'll design, automate and optimise cloud infrastructure across Azure, with additional exposure to AWS, helping create secure, reliable and scalable platforms that can evolve with the business.
Collaborating as part of a collaborative Agile engineering team, you'll contribute to architectural decisions, infrastructure automation and platform improvements. You'll have the autonomy to solve complex technical challenges, introduce new ideas and continually improve the tooling, processes and cloud services that enable engineering teams to deliver quickly and confidently.
Location / WFH: You'll join a highly talented, diverse team in the Cambridge office twice a week where you can enjoy a great team atmosphere with free lunches and problem solving sessions.
About you:
- You have experience as a DevOps Engineer within a Microsoft Azure cloud environment
- You have experience with infrastructure provisioning tools e.g. IaC, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, AWS CloudFormation
- You have experience of designing and implementing scalable systems capable of handling high loads
- You have experience of designing and managing CI/CD pipelines for large-scale systems using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar
- You can code with Python (or Node.js, Golang) with a focus on scripting and automation
- You have strong analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- You're collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication skills
