Red Team Operator Cyber Security

Red Team Operator London / WFH to £80k Opportunity to progress your career at a rapidly scaling technology company that provides a fully managed IT service including security.

As a Red Team Operator you'll be conducting approved adversary simulation, red team and assumed breach engagements for a range of clients.

You'll work with clients to scope objectives and threat scenarios, then plan and execute realistic operations within agreed rules of engagement.

The role combines hands-on offensive security with research, problem solving and operational tradecraft.

You'll build and manage red team infrastructure, develop custom tooling, research emerging TTPs and adapt your approach when conventional techniques aren't effective.

You'll operate across Windows, Linux, networks, cloud and enterprise identity environments, with a strong focus on OPSEC, stealth, detection risk and controlled execution.

You'll use a broad range of industry standard, open source, commercial and in-house tooling across reconnaissance, web application testing, initial access, command and control, Active Directory, cloud and identity testing.

You'll also modify existing tools or develop lightweight scripts and capabilities where standard tooling is unsuitable.

Training will be provided on the organisation's in-house platform.

Beyond technical execution, you'll document operations and timelines thoroughly, contribute to client deliverables and support client facing debriefs.

You'll work closely with engagement leads, technical teams and client stakeholders, while helping less experienced team members develop their skills through coaching and mentoring.

Location / WFH: You can work from home, collaborating colleagues remotely but must be commutable to London every 2-3 weeks.

About you: You have strong experience in a similar Red Team / Offensive Security role and keep up to date with emerging adversary tradecraft, tooling and TTPs relevant to red team operations You have advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills You have a strong understanding of low level technical concepts: operating systems, networking, authentication protocols, endpoint controls, identity platforms and the OSI model You can read and understand code, identify security weaknesses and develop scripts or tooling to support red team objectives You understand that red team operations are not only about achieving technical compromise, but doing so in a controlled, realistic and professional manner, you're able to consider OPSEC, detection risk, logging, payload exposure, infrastructure management, attack path selection and the wider impact of your actions during an engagement You have excellent communication and collaboration skills and are comfortable sharing knowledge and mentoring others in the team You have a relevant technical degree form a top tier university (e. g.
