QA Engineering Lead SaaS

As a QA Engineering Lead you'll join a newly formed team working on a Greenfield AI driven product to form the test strategy and introduce testing processes, policies and a 'shift-left' culture. You'll drive quality engineering strategy across a complex software platform, bringing together QA resources into a unified test function for this new team/product.

Collaborating closely with engineering leadership, you will define and evolve testing strategy, frameworks, standards, and processes, ensuring robust functional and non-functional test coverage across the platform. You'll provide technical leadership in test automation, exploratory testing and quality engineering practices, while remaining hands-on in the design and development of scalable, production-grade test frameworks and tooling.

As a trusted authority on software quality, you will mentor and develop engineers, identify opportunities to improve testing effectiveness and champion continuous improvement across the organisation. Location / WFH: There's a flexible work from home hybrid model, you'll join colleagues in the Reigate office twice a week for team meet-ups and stakeholder meetings with the other three days work from home (please note you must be within a one hour commute of Reigate).

About you:

• You have experience of defining QA strategy both from the ground-up as well as continuously improving existing processes and strategy.
• You have hands-on experience building complex test automation solutions for complex SaaS based solutions.
• You have experience of driving QA and test-first approaches into complex delivery programmes.
• You have experience of leading and growing a QA team for a project.
• You have experience with C# test automation frameworks at all levels (unit, integration, API/system).
• You have a good understanding of the 'shift-left' testing approach.
• You are collaborative and pragmatic with strong stakeholder communication skills.
