Are you a bright, ambitious technologist with a top‑class Computer Science degree looking for an opportunity to join a tech start‑up Investment Management firm that has secure backing and an established Hedge Fund client as a partner, gaining valuable financial trading systems experience?
As a Graduate Software Engineer you will collaborate with a small, talented team to deliver the core platform within a Microsoft environment using the latest versions of C# .NET to produce high quality code. Once the Beta is rolled out and tested the company has ambitious growth plans, this is a great opportunity to be involved from the ground up and progress your career, with training and mentoring from experienced Software Engineers and entrepreneurs.
Location: Central Newcastle offices on a full‑time basis (Monday to Friday). Start date: March 2026.
About You
- Minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science from a top 10 Russell Group university, backed by A’s at A‑level.
- Strong coding skills with modern C# .NET (will also consider Python, C++, Java if you are happy to use C# going forward).
- Technologist who enjoys collaborating and problem solving.
- Good knowledge of modern software engineering best practices across the full software development lifecycle.
- Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms.
- Excited to join a start‑up in a role that you can shape and influence.
