Overview
In this senior, hands-on role you will drive the adoption of AI within a hedge fund, collaborating with CTO and tech leadership to shape technical strategy and deliver AI-enabled solutions. You will own end-to-end AI initiatives—from opportunity framing and prototyping to deployment and post-production support—across structured and unstructured data. You’ll promote responsible AI adoption, establish standards, and work with Compliance and Security to ensure governance. This role combines technical impact with stakeholder engagement and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities
- Define and drive AI tool adoption and technical strategy across the business
- Hands-on delivery of AI applications and agentic workflows from prototype to production
- Work with diverse data sources including market, tick data, research and documents
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and establish practical standards for AI-assisted coding and agentic development
- Collaborate with Compliance and Information Security on data governance and responsible AI
- Educate and support colleagues to enable practical AI adoption across the firm
- Partner with CTO and tech leadership to influence architectural decisions and long-term roadmap
Key requirements
- Applied AI experience across data science, software engineering, or data engineering
- Senior software engineer with strong Python and TypeScript
- Experience in financial services, FinTech or hedge funds with understanding of industry terms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor in STEM (2.1 or above) from a top-tier university
