Are you a “mathematically minded” Java Developer looking for an opportunity to progress your career working on complex and interesting systems? You could be joining a global geoscience technology company within oil and gas exploration.
As a Java Developer, you’ll join a supportive Agile team responsible for the company’s highly complex web-based data management platform/client portal. You’ll gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle working on new features and enhancements as well as maintaining existing applications.
Location / WFH: You’ll be able to work from home most of the time, meeting up with the team in Surbiton, once or twice a week.
About you:
- You have strong Java development experience; they’re using Java 21 (will also consider C# or C++ experience if you’re happy using Java).
- You’re highly numerate with a good understanding of mathematics and data-centric systems.
- You’re familiar with Agile ways of working such as Scrum or Kanban.
- You have a good understanding of Unit testing.
- You’re collaborative and enjoy problem solving.
- You are degree educated, Mathematics, Computer Science or scientific discipline preferred.
