Do you have expertise with C# backend development combined with strong cloud infrastructure knowledge? You could be progressing your career in a hands-on Backend Software Engineer role at a tech driven, global Asset Manager with multiple billions of dollars under management, on a 12 month Fixed term Contract.
As a Backend Software Engineer you will lead the migration of services from the London datacentre onto AWS and Kubernetes, with .NET 10 as the target runtime. You’ll build and maintain shared service templates, libraries and patterns so the wider team can leverage a consistent, modern estate.
Responsibilities will include designing and building migration pipelines that combine Terraform, CI/CD and AI coding agents to refactor and move services at scale, including adding test coverage as part of the migration step. You’ll collaborate closely with the platform team on observability, networking and dependency management as services land in the cloud estate.
Location / WFH: There’s a hybrid work from home policy with three days in the London office per week where you’ll join a supportive, diverse team environment with a large range of facilities.
About you:
- You have strong AWS experience, including building, deploying and operating production workloads
- You have experience with Kubernetes and K8s in a cloud environment
- You have strong Terraform skills and experience of using IaC to provision and manage cloud environments (AWS)
- You have SQL Server experience
- You’re comfortable using agentic coding tools such as Claude and Codex
- You’re collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills
