Junior Java Developer / Software Engineer – London / WFH to £50k
Are you a bright ambitious Junior Java Developer looking to progress your career?
You could be joining a hugely successful and growing commodities trading firm that specialise in trading silver and gold.
As a Junior Java Developer you'll join a small team with a focus on backend Java development, but also with exposure across the full tech stack.
You'll work on a range of projects across the business including trading systems, marketplace, website, payments and automated trading bots.
The technology stack includes Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Type Script, React and AWS amongst others; you'll be encouraged to expand your skillset using the latest technologies and choosing the best tool for the job in a friendly Agile team environment.
WFH Policy
You will join the team in the West London office with flexibility to work from home twice a week.
About you
- Degree educated, having achieved a 2.1 or above in Computer Science (or similar STEM discipline) from a top tier university (e. g.
Russell Group, Oxbridge) backed by A's / B's at A-level.
- Commercial Java development experience.
- Familiar with Agile processes and TDD.
- Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Design Patterns, Data Structures, Algorithms.
- Previous exposure to Scala, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Type Script, React, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux would be beneficial but not essential - willingness to learn.
- Collaborative with good communication skills.
