Are you a bright, ambitious Data Analyst with a strong interest in financial markets combined with a first class education? You could be joining a scaling Technology Consultancy within the finance division.
As an Investment Data Analyst you'll understand, manage and curate raw data content from various data vendors and the broader finance industry, collaborating with traders and quants on investment desks to provide data insights, analysis and visualisations. You'll help to identify and address data needs and gaps, evaluate data quality to ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy across all platforms and develop and maintain data dictionaries and other documentation, collaborating with Data Engineers and Technology teams to implement and enhance data systems and processes.
Location: You'll join colleagues in brand new Central Newcastle offices on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday), working hours 0900-1800 with some flexibility. The offices are well equipped and offer fantastic views across the City and the local countryside, many employees walk or cycle in (onsite showers available!), there's a diverse, social team atmosphere with many employees having recently relocated and lots of support available.
About you:
- You have achieved a first class degree in a STEM discipline from a world 100 top ranked / Russel Group university, backed by A*s and As at A-level.
- You have a strong interest and understanding of financial markets, ideally with commercial experience or demonstrated by personal projects.
- You have advanced SQL and Python skills.
- You're familiar with Data Science and / or Machine Learning tools and techniques.
- You have excellent communication skills.
