Do you have a strong knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Governance and Data Strategy? You could be progressing your career in an impactful role at a tech driven, global Asset Manager with multiple billions of dollars under management.
As a Data Architect / Data Governance Manager you will combine strategic thinking with practical delivery engagement. Collaborating across technology and business teams you will improve the coherence, quality and reusability of data, support the evolution of the firm's data landscape, ensuring that data is managed as a valuable enterprise asset. You will define target states, standards and guardrails, while working closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure these are applied pragmatically and effectively. You will establish, own and continuously improve the data governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, policies, standards and controls, developing architectural views of key data domains, flows and assets across the organisation including defining standards for data modelling, metadata, lineage, master and reference data and data quality management.
Location / WFH: There's a hybrid work from home policy with three days in the London office per week where you'll join a supportive, diverse team environment with a large range of facilities.
About you:
- You have experience in a data architecture, information architecture or a closely related role within a finance environment, Asset Manager preferred with a strong understanding of the data landscape and challenges, including the need to support investment, client, operational, regulatory and enterprise data.
- You have a strong knowledge of SQL combined with modern tools such as Snowflake and Airflow.
- You have a strong understanding of enterprise data architecture concepts, including data domains, conceptual and logical modelling, integration patterns, lineage, metadata and lifecycle management.
- You have practical experience establishing, implementing and evolving data governance frameworks, including ownership models, stewardship, policies, standards, controls and decision forums.
- You're collaborative with strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across business, architecture and technology stakeholders to define data responsibilities, improve governance and support delivery.
- You're degree educated in a STEM discipline.
